A MILAN APARTMENT WITH A FARMHOUSE HEART

Situated along the canals of Milan, this apartment renovation reimagines a rigid, non compliant layout into a bright and contemporary home. The design focuses on opening the central living space. By removing a windowless internal room and relocating the kitchen, a generous open-plan living area was created, allowing light to travel through the apartment while making space for a proper second bedroom. The kitchen now forms the heart of the home, combining simple forms with warm materials inspired by the owners’ years living in the UK. The palette balances contemporary clarity with a soft farmhouse character. The result is a calm, characterful apartment that feels both distinctly Milanese and shaped by the personal story of its owners.
