A HOME FOR BOOKS

This project reconfigures a compact 60 m² one-bedroom apartment in Milan’s Cenisio district, responding to the clients’ wish for a new dedicated study without sacrificing the livability or natural light of the apartment.

The project tackles a spatial puzzle where every centimeter counts and unconventional thinking is key. The kitchen was reimagined in a linear format, gaining functionality through its efficient footprint. The bathroom, now internal, benefits from improved proportions and a clean, playful character.

Despite the interventions, the living area retains its brightness, enhanced by a custom built-in bookcase tailored to the daily rituals of two passionate readers.
